So, for clarification, this is a remake of the original. They are calling it a reimagination of the original...which it kinda bullshit.

Anyways...I agree that the remakes never surpass the original.

I would watch them but I think it's a complete travesty that they are remaking them. The only reason I'd watch it is out of curiosity and I don't think there's much of a way to improve upon Halloween 1/2. Plus I don't think Rob Zombie's work has demonstrated that he's the guy who should be remaking ...

You guys named a bunch of cool stuff. I am with Hooch on the classic horror movies...but I also LOVE Halloween, Friday the 13th, and all the other 70s/80s horror movies.

I love gory stuff. I live in a neighborhood with a bunch of kids though...so I keep the gore to a minimum outside. I pretty much just stay evil without gore out there.
