Re: Real or artificial tree?

There are a few, really pricey, artificials out there that are dead-ringers for real.
I worked at a company that bought one and it took forever to set up (it was a 9-footer) but, except for the lack of scent, it was a stunning fake.

Re: New Decorations for the Holidays

Okay; so I got tired of not being able to see the snowman's face under the globe (you can see the glare in the photo above) so I liberated him and made a little diorama for under my monitor and viola!.. winter scene.

Looks like I'm part of the Thanksgiving crowd. The day after, out come the tubs and up go the lights.

Re: What's our favorite Christmas movies or TV show's?

I wish that they'd keep running some of the older, less fabulous classics, such as The Night They Saved Christmas . I love The Polar Express and other new movies, but I still want to cuddle up at midnight and watch an old classic from childhood. The Night They Saved Christmas is on my watch list ev...

I went to the craft store at lunch and picked this little guy up.
I totally honor Thanksgiving, but start Christmas planning right after Halloween!

Christmas 2009 is just around the corner

Hi all,

I just wanted to get the snow-ball rolling on this one.

Last year was a little different for me, not bad just different, so I plan on making this one as traditional as I can!

Cheers!

Re: Christmas With the Kranks

The book is a beautifuly crafted story, and I'll bet the screenwriter has never read it :-) I enjoyed the book more than the movie. While the movie was fine, to me the book was just a whole lot better. Have you read the book too? (It is based on Skipping Christmas by John Grisham). Hello everybody! ...

Re: Gift cards for Christmas?

I'm split on this one.

I think that they are a great idea because the receiver is able to get exactly what fits or is the rigt color or whatever, but with so many companies on the rocks lately the card you buy today may end up being a very expensive ice-scraper after Christmes...

Re: ANDY WILLIAMS CHRISTMAS SHOW!!!!!

You need to check your local TV listings.

In the SF Bay area we have 3 PBS stations so I watched it twice and have seen the listing at several times on at least two of the channels.
