Re: Hello From ChristmasFanatic!

I've picked up some wood ornaments and some nice metal ones (silver and some just regular metal) and hopefully my kids will be enjoying them years from now too. That's neat. I remember when I was a kid, couldn't have been more than four, my Aunt and Uncle had an aluminum tree with the color disc th...

Re: Most memorable snow experience......

Seemed like when I was a kid, we had snow on every Christmas, I'm sure we didn't, but that magical time of year always seemed 'perfect' and so in my mind, we always had snow. About six years ago, they called for a lot of snow on Christmas Eve/Day and so my better-half and I loaded up our vehicle an...

Re: What's our favorite Christmas movies or TV show's?

Thanks very much! Does anyone remember when Nick @ Nite used to have their 48 hours of Christmas marathons? I remember seeing some GREAT classic TV episodes from that time. Some favorites are: -The Lucy Show..I think this was a series filmed right after, I Love Lucy. Lucy and Viv played friends liv...

Re: my top 10 favorite Christmas songs

I wasn't around during WWII, either, but I love the Christmas tunes that were sung by the singers of that era. Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, their versions are always the best or at least some of the very best!

Re: Anyone Else in the Christmas Spirit????

I'm always in the Christmasy mood, but it really kicks in near the end of August and early September. My family has always called me their 'Christmas Angel', because I love it so...I guess I kind of get everyone caught up in the spirit, although I have to say, most of my family is big int...

Re: What's our favorite Christmas movies or TV show's?

I wish someone would release a DVD of some of the classic TV episodes. Not just the public domain episodes, but some from the classics.....I know we can get some of the classic TV episodes of say, I Love Lucy, Adam-12 and such on their season releases, but it would be nice if we could get some that...

Re: Rankin/Bass Thread

When I was young, we lived far enough out in the sticks that cable wasn't even available, so we got one channel in the Summer months and maybe two or three in the Winter months. Thank goodness, CBS was the one channel we got in all year and back in the day, CBS carried most of the great Christmas c...
